Senior Quality Assurance and Performance Analyst

Location: Santa Ana, CA

The primary role is to lead our performance testing and capacity planning to ensure that new releases can handle the user and traffic load and do so with acceptable performance.

The Sr. Performance Test Engineer is primarily involved in the performance testing of IT applications and infrastructure. Position requires strong theoretical and practical analytical ability and moderate interaction with IT management staff and leadership. Additionally, the position requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate business objectives into measurable, testable requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Set up external monitoring to measure real user experience
• Analyze and create user load models for web traffic and for server API traffic
• Develop load test scripts, execute tests, and analyze results
• Help Development to optimize software designs. Help Operations team to optimize settings
• Determine current capacity and analyze trends to help Operations team with resource planning
• Create Integration load testing scripts for load testing and test automation
• Work with team, Test Engineering Manager and project managers to define project requirements and deliver them within schedule constraints

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent program
• At least 8 years of QA experience
• At least 5 years of experience in Load Testing
• At least 2 years of experience using Visual Studio load test
• At least 3 years of experience using LoadRunner testing tool
• At least 1 year experience in C#, .NET
• At least 2 years of experience in testing mortgage solutions
• At least 1 year of Experience in Querying data in SQL Server 2005/2008
• At least 1 year of experience testing Loan Origination system
• At least 3 years of experience in writing test cases

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with profiling tools
• Experience working with global development team is highly desired
• Experience with TFS based Source code control
• Familiarity with current integration technologies is desired; especially in complex, transaction-intensive web-based systems, utilizing SOA techniques implemented using Java, .net, PHP, Cold Fusion, Queue (MSMQ and IBM MQ) , XML or Web Services
• Ability to promote ideas and make sound technical decisions as a member of a team of technical experts
• Ability to directly interface with internal and possibly external customers is required
• Ability to work independently and interface collaboratively with development teams required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with source control and bug tracking

40 Hours per week; 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday
