Senior SQL Server Database Analyst - Architect

Location: Santa Ana, CA

The primary role within the team for this position will include adding value in database development, optimization, maintenance and delivery/deployment of the database components. In addition the person will participate on application architecture and application security related projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, Develop, implement and package database designs and updates for application releases
  • Perform database and query performance reviews for internal and external clients
  • Manage and support Engineering development and test databases
  • Provide database support to internal and external clients
  • Perform database and query tuning
  • Install, configure and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server software instances
  • Develop and maintain documentation for development standards
  • Work on Middle Tier library of components from Application Architecture

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent program
  • At least 5 years of experience in DB development
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server
  • At least 1 year of experience in C#, .NET
  • At least 2 years of experience in developing/ working with mortgage solutions
  • At least 1 year of Experience in developing DB Solutions using Visual Studio
  • At least 2 year of experience working in Loan Origination system

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with SSIS
  • Experience with SSRS
  • Experience with SSAS
  • Experience with physical database design for SQL Server 2005/2008
  • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
  • Experience with TFS based Source code control
  • Strong grasp of software design patterns
  • Ability to promote ideas and make sound technical decisions as a member of a team of technical experts
  • Ability to directly interface with internal and possibly external customers is required
  • Ability and desire to deliver high-quality software quickly through iterative development
  • Ability to stay organized and focused while supporting multiple areas of shifting technical and conceptual complexity
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with software source control, bug tracking and build process
  • Self-starter with ability to work with global development team is highly desired

40 Hours per week; 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday
